Thursday farmer's markets have been a huge success this year. I myself have attended the past three weeks, and somehow I make the time to keep returning to check out the goods. The reeeal persuader (sorry cucumbers, it's not you) has been these Amish donuts. Made fresh at the market, these babies are a hit amongst everyone---they taste like part dense breakfast pastry/part decadent funnel cake. We snagged a few to take home to share, but it looked like everyone else at the farmer's market was using them as a mid-afternoon snack. Not a bad idea, I have to admit.
